About me

From an early age I have been interested in fashion. In the late 70s I designed and constructed clothing to sell on consignment in local shops. This eventually led me to costuming where I made costumes for many local theaters in the Twin Cities and rendered them for designers and shop heads by request. In addition to costuming for theater, I have made costumes for puppets and mascots (i.e. Sesame Street Live).

I have also worked in tailoring both men’s and women’s garments. My knowledge of tailoring, designs, and construction, has lent itself to the realistic quality of my work.

My work has been shown at Geometrie Gallery in the Minneapolis Warehouse District and at the Loring Café & Bar in the Loring Park area of Minneapolis. The photo of Nicole was shot on the observation deck of the Foshay Tower in Downtown Minneapolis and was used for invitations for my Loring show.

credit due...

I would like to give credit to the photographers that have lent their images for use in my portfolio.

  • My drawings of Carl & Michele were shot by Jeff Johnson. The background of Carl was another photo of a Manhattan Street.
  • The photo of Bill and the Harold Christmas ads were shot by Connie Jerome. The rest are my concept and photography.
  • Photo-styling by Debra Ganshaw.

I must thank the late George Stavrinos for inspiring the work I do. He is most famous for his illustrations for Bergdorf Goodman which ran in Vogue Magazine in the late 1970s and 80s.
